Peep Production Notes<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that I’ve been making these Peep images for a few years, a couple questions have started to bubble up repeatedly. I made this post to explain how this all began and to describe the process a bit.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mad Peep: Fury Road<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the first time I put Peeps into a movie, so I hadn’t really settled into the process yet- some Peeps have clothes, some don’t, some have eyes, some don’t… but the reaction I got sparked something.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Arts & Culture<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year the Google Arts & Culture app was all the rage, which used a photo of your face to match you up with your fine art doppelg\u00e4nger, so I thought maybe Peeps would want to play along too. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

AvengePeeps<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Avenger Peeps taught me that the magic is really in the practical effects. This year was primarily a photoshop effort, and while I like some of the images, they just don’t hit the same way as some of later years.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Warrior<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The year of Warrior Peeps was when I really began to hit my stride with the Peeping and the practical effects and tiny costumes. It highlights an outstanding show based on the writings of Bruce Lee, and included my first Peep opium fire!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dune<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was blown away by Denis Villeneuve’s Dune reboot in 2021. The scenes and costumes were so dramatic that I knew it needed Peeping.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Last of Peep<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was not emotionally prepared for how sad this show was, but it was incredibly well done and extremely moving. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Peepie<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster hit of the summer was a delight, and a bit lighter than Peepenheimer would have been. Once I found the perfectly size pink gingham fabric, I knew it was time to peep.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Twipeep Saga<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year I reached back into past cultural zeitgeists for peep-spiration. The fanbase is still passionate, so today we celebrate the blue-toned vampire\/werewolf cinematic universe.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Murderpeep<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
